Urban Juliet life; Part 4
If u ask this question to Urban Juliet
‘WOMEN MAKE BETTER TEACHERS TAHN MEN’DO YOU AGREE?
This is what she will answer....
I do not agree with the above statement. It is unfair to both sexes to make a sweeping statement like that. I have had good women teachers as well as good men teachers. I also have had bad women teachers and bad men teachers.
Generally I can say that women teachers are gentler in their approach to teaching. They, being the so-called fairer sex, usually try very hard to make their lessons interesting. Sometimes they succeed and sometimes they don’t.
A class of thirty odd young children is not an easy thing to handle y any means. Occasionally there are a class or two that are more difficult to handle than others. I happened to be in one of these classes. Though we meant no malice towards any teacher, I remember making our woman English teacher cry because we did not follow what she was teaching. She did her best, but looking back I could see that she was too soft with us. Those made us fool around a bit thus disrupting the class.
She was replacing by a hefty six-foot muscle-man. The very sight of this no-nonsense Hercules made us pay attention in class. One could say there was the proverbial ‘pin-drop silence’ whenever he was in class. Did we learn anything from him? Well, we all did very well in English. We had to. It was better than being targets for him to exercise his muscle on.
Then there was this woman taught us Malay. She exudes an air of strictness that would put an army sergeant to shame. We could not fool around with her. She had a way with words that would make anyone feel small. Her command of the Malay language was astonishing. To argue with her was to get a barrage of words that we had no reply for. Tough we did not like her words I must admit we learned a great deal from her. If it had been for her I doubt if I could write as well I am doing now.
I have been taught by many others teacher. They all have their own abilities and approaches to teaching. Some of them are definitely uninterested in teaching, especially some older ones of both sexes. Perhaps they were fed up with teaching the same thing year after year. So they make lousy teachers. But for those who tried their best, which most of them did, it realise that I cannot judge them. Whether they are men or women each have their own strong and weak points. Each was good is his or her way. Sex does not determine how a good person is as a teacher.

Urban Juliet Life; Part 3
She has another question stuck in her head!!!!!The question is
‘DOES SUPERSTITIONS CONSIDER BEING SILLY, OR DO WE THINK THAT SOME SHOULD BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY?’
This is what Urban Juliet had thought.....
Beliefs that are without any reasonable basis may be called superstitious. Almost everybody dreads Friday the thirteenth, crows and the hooting of owls. All these are supposed to be associated with bad luck. Some hotels do not have the thirteenth floor because guests are reluctant to stay on a floor marked “13”.These so-called harbingers of doom are avoided like the plague. For unavoidable circumstances, there are a lot of charms, mantras and prayers available for averting catastrophe.
Nobody knows how much of these superstitions really bring about the calamities as they are believed to do. There are virtually no scientific studies carried out to confirm or deny them. So we carry on believing unreasonably and often fearfully. If ever a calamity occurs when an omen signifies so, the belief is strengthened even more. Superstitions are perpetuated not because they are irrefutably true but because nobody can show them to be untrue. So to be on the safe side, most people do the minimum necessary to prevent disaster. Risk-taking is only for the brave or foolish.
Belief is a powerful force. We are products of our own mind. When Descartes said “I think, therefore I am”, I am sure he is aware of the power of mind. As we think, that is what we are. To consider all superstitions to be silly nonsense will not be a wise thing to do. Some of them should be taken seriously while the majority of them can be discarded only when we ourselves believe them to be mere nonsense.
Beliefs like Friday the 13th, knocking on wood, throwing salt over the shoulder walking under ladders are examples that may be regarded as nonsense. Unless it does make a person more comfortable to believe them, they can be thrown away like worn out clothes. We do not need them at all.
However there are other beliefs which I think should not be taken lightly. For example, the appearance of a comet is a sign of war and pestilence. In fact history tells us that disasters did occur simultaneously with a comet’s appearance. Recently some far-seeing scientists have postulated that the comet may actually be disease-carriers. Every time earth passes y a comet’s tail, the dormant spores from the comet may be activated by contact with earth thus creating an outbreak of disease. How much does this theory hold water is left to be seen?
As for the moon, recent studies in a hospital have shown positively that lunacy is associated with a full moon may have a sound basis after all.
In the Caribbean, voodoo is a way of life. Strange phenomena occur that may see ridiculously to the uninitiated. No matter how we may try to discount the practice of voodoo, we cannot deny that it is certainly a potent power among the native who are involved with it. Voodoo has the power of life and death over them. And who is to argue??? Certainly not me, I prefer to keep away from this form of black magic. It is too risky to challenge it.
Within our country, black magic exits. No sane person will deny outright the power of these occult arts. At best, we try not to get involved in any of it. Science is virtually useless against the charlatans. A belief is more powerful than reason.
Unless one is prepared to risk life and limb to disprove a superstition, it is safest to walk the middle path. It is sheer madness to believe blindly every superstition. It is equally mad to totally deny all of them. We must have some kind of beliefs to sustain our hold on life. In my opinion, it is all right to throw away any superstitions that you believe to be rubbish, only if you really believe so. Otherwise leave superstitions alone whenever you can and ride along calmly whenever you cannot. An excited mind has the tendency to frighten itself. A calm mind can withstand great threats. I never underestimate the power of my mine.

SIX HABITS OF SIX BEST FRIENDS by WHITE CRYTAL.......
1. FRIENDS STAY IN TOUCH WITH EACH OTHER.Friendship implies a continuing relationship in which both parties involved make consistent efforts to maintain. To neglect these special efforts is to risk allowing the relationship to wither and possibly disappear entirely. We verbally communicate with each other in a way that says, "I am interested in you as a person." We ask about the day's events; inquire about what has been read; anything that transcends talk about career and parental roles. We let each other know where we are as a courtesy.
2. FRIENDS SHARE THEMSELVES AND THEIR EXPERIENCES.Without this level of sharing you may have an acquaintance, but you do not have a friend. Sharing thoughts, feelings, and experiences creates an openness that deepens the bond. Andre Maurois defined a happy marriage as "a long conversation that always seems too short." Spouses who have grown apart share only negative emotions and cynical or critical thoughts which focus only on problems and frustrations.
3. FRIENDS ARE SUPPORTIVE DURING TROUBLES TIMES, Friends must always be there for one another, not only during the good times, but also during times of emotional turmoil or personal crisis. To have such a friend in times of need is a wonderful source of strength. What helps me get through my troubled times is when Cindy gives me a hug and tells me she is confident that God will help us get through this.
4. FRIENDS CONSISTENTLY AFFIRM ONE ANOTHER. Good friends communicate a very simple message: "I like you, and being with you makes me feel good." The base of such a relationship is a deep acceptance of one another along with encouragement as life circumstances evolve. Love and acceptance should never be conditional. Such a conditional acceptance drives a wedge in the relationship that tends to deepen with the years. We seek to communicate regularly in words and deeds, in small acts of kindness and loving words, the value we find in each other. On one of our wedding anniversaries, Cindy gave me a card with the following statement: "It's one thing to be in love. It's another to be good friends. And it's a wonderful thing to be madly in love with my best friend!" That's affirming!
5. DEEP TRUST ALWAYS EXISTS BETWEEN FRIENDS. As friendship deepens, a corresponding openness about experiences and feelings develops. The price of friendship is personal vulnerability - letting your spouse know about personal doubts & sensitivities. Such information must always be respected and the vulnerability must never be violated. To deepen our trust we seek to never use a personal sensitivity to hurt each other when we are angry. We do not gossip about each other. It's a betrayal of marital trust.
6. FRIENDS LET GO AND HAVE FUN TOGETHER. Good friendships do not focus exclusively on problems or emotionally intimate discussion. Time is spent just having fun together. Good friends can let go to enjoy good times spent together knowing that they are deeply accepted and that they will be there for one another when tough times come. As married life becomes busier, humor often fades, and no time remains for fun. Stressed and tired, couples feel overwhelmed with responsibilities. They forget how to relax and enjoy lighthearted times together. Fun is a powerful tool in relieving stress.
THIS IS ALL ABOUT TEAM ~ANTER~

A JOURNEY TO NOWHERE
I sat down on the bench in the neighborhood playground squashed between my lost past and my mere future. I tilted my head from left to right. My left was these high school students that were burying their heads into their Biology workbooks. Then to my right there was this couple rushing their son to go back home as their dinner break was over. Chills ran down my spine. Is that what was and will become of me?
I just don’t get it. When I was young , innocent and gullible , every single soul I met told me to follow my dreams.....reach for the stars.....be a role model...go for your passion and etc. But where does all this go when you are graduating high school? It’s been hard enough to cut up frogs and bombarding the calculator with numbers for the last one and a half years of my life. When can I just do what I want? Do what I am so interested about? When I pluck up my courage and face them with my questions, they all sigh and told me the million dollar answer. They blame it on an abstract aspect called society. Tears roll down my cheeks leaving a trail as I thought about this.
Society ... it’s just as evil as stealing a sweet from a crying child. How long am I going to fight this losing battle? How am I going to make people realize that it’s not about the money but about the passion? How long can I survive? How am I going to do all this in just 10 solid months?
It’s so tiring trying to be among the best all the time. Trying to shine out and getting praises from people. Just when you want to give up and be normal, faces of your folks flashes in your mind. It’s like having to eat a bitter pastry in front of the crowd. You can’t spit it nor swallow it. But living with guilt and regret your whole life is not something to be proud of either, right?
Whatever is it...? I will just live my life following the flow. Regrets of my past have moulded me into a stronger person. And let the mysteries of the future uncoil it and hopefully lay a path filled with roses and probably hidden thorns for me.
As it is, I will not look back at my past filled with anger, disappointment, failure, frustration and most importantly regret. I will learn to accept things as it is and try to enjoy the beauty within it .Nor will I give up my passion.
SMILE...AND THE WORLD SMILES BACK AT YOU!!

Urban Juliet Life; Part 2
Urban Juliet has a question stuck in her head!!!!!The question is
‘IT’S REALLY BETTER TO HAVE FALLEN IN LOVE AND HAD YOUR HEART BROKEN THAN TO HAVE NEVER LOVED AT ALL? IT’S THE ANSWER IN THE STATEMENT THAT A BROKEN HEART IS BETTER THAN A LONELY HEART?’
This is what Urban Juliet had thought........
To look into the answer one would have had to have experienced both circumstances loneliness and love. Love is the greatest emotion that we can feel as human beings. However, love often has strings attached to it. Sometimes after a relationship finishes, both individual will lead separately lives that will never cross again, but on the other hand, other may finish a relationship only to kindle it at a later point in time.
Some people may argue that it is not to have something so wonderful and then never to experience it again. It has been made aware of this feeling, only to have it missing, will certainly cause a person to long for it again. However, it is possible to compare this feeling with that of having a lonely heart???You could draw the following from this perspective. Once you’ve shored your life with someone, there’s always a hole left when the person leaves you or the special bond is over. If you have never made space for someone or given space in your heart to someone then you possibly can never know the emptiness that is left behind walks out of your life.
When your heart is lonely, you have only your imagination to fill in what it would be like. In the case of what it feels like to have someone to love you; imagination just can’t fill it in that easily. You can imagine someone being happy to see you when you come home from work. But the little details that really let you know that you are loved cannot be filled in by an inexperienced imagination. Loneliness is truly a harsh reality which cannot be ignored.
In conclusion, when you are recovering from a broken heart, it is important to remember that you were once in love and these memories can give you hope for more to come. You can always remember that special feeling you had in the past as compared to having a lonely heart. It seems therefore that a broken heart can be better than a lonely heart....!!!!
This is all Urban Juliet experience.....This is all true!!!!!!She really meant it!!!!She has passed through this feeling!!!!!!
Carry a heart that
Never hates.....
Carry a smile that
Never fades......
Carry a touch that
Never hurts.....
And alwayzzzz
Carry a relation that
Never breaks........

MAN CHARGED OVER DAVENPORT ATTACK
A 25-year-old man was on Monday charged in connection with a knife attack on West Ham defender Calum Davenport, police said.
Worrell Whitehurst, of Finsley Walk, Derby, was charged with grievous bodily harm after the 26-year-old player was allegedly stabbed in Bedford on Saturday.
Bedfordshire Police said Whitehurst was also charged with causing actual bodily harm to Davenport's 49-year-old mother, as well as driving whilst disqualified and possession of a bladed article.
He will appear at Bedford Magistrates' Court later today.
A 19-year-old man arrested shortly after the incident was released on police bail pending further inquiries, police said.
A spokeswoman for the force said: "A man has now been charged and is due to appear at Bedford magistrates' court this morning."
Davenport today remained in a serious but stable condition while his mother is "recovering well", police added.
The defender, a former England Under-21 international, underwent emergency surgery at Bedford Hospital for stab wounds to both legs after an incident at his mother's home in Springfield Avenue, Bedford, at 5am on Saturday.
Davenport cost West Ham £3million when he joined them from Tottenham during the summer of 2007.
He did not figure in the east London club's first game of this season, at Wolves last week and, after struggling to hold down a first-team place, has been linked with a move.
Bedford-born Davenport spent a spell on loan at Premier League rivals Sunderland last season and has also been loaned out to Watford.
The centre-back started his career at Coventry and has also played on loan at Southampton and Norwich.

Buoyant Blues too good for Fulham
Chelsea climbed to second place in the Premier League as they preserved their 100% start to the season with a 2-0 win at Fulham on Sunday. Goals in each half from Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka settled the contest in Chelsea's favour.
The Blues have made a fabulous start to the season under new coach Carlo Ancelotti and the scoreline could have much higher had visitors taken their many chances.
Chelsea wasted a chance to punish Fulham as early as the 12th minute when Drogba was brought down on the edge of the penalty area by Fulham captain Danny Murphy.
Michael Ballack elected to try his luck with the free-kick from 25 yards out in a central position but put his effort a yard over the bar.
The Blues had dominated the opening half but had failed to add a cutting edge to their possession.
John Obi Mikel had Mark Schwarzer flinging himself to his right in the 21st minute when the Nigerian midfielder despatched a 20-yard volley towards the top corner. However, fortunately for the Fulham goalkeeper, Mikel's effort flashed wide of the upright.
Fulham responded quickly but a cross from Murphy was easily held by Petr Cech in the Chelsea goal.
The home side had done little to suggest they had the firepower to trouble Chelsea's rearguard.
Chelsea continued to press for an opening goal but their final ball was a disappointment on numerous occasions.
Captain John Terry was an example of their growing frustration when he tried his luck from 25 yards - but Schwarzer was left untroubled by Terry's piledriver as it soared over the bar.
But Chelsea finally broke the deadlock in the 38th minute when a fine three-man move left Fulham floored.
Frank Lampard slipped the ball through to Anelka, who in turn put Drogba in the clear with a clever pass.
The Ivory Coast international made no mistake as he slipped the ball beyond the advancing Schwarzer for his third goal of the season.
It was just reward for Chelsea's first-half domination and a perfect example of how to pass the ball through an opposing defence.
Drogba managed to get clear of the Fulham defence again moments later but he was ruled marginally offside.
Fulham almost fluked an equaliser in the 50th minute when Murphy's deep cross into the penalty area was headed over his own goal by Chelsea defender Ricardo Carvalho.
But Chelsea's domination was soon restored and Drogba almost grabbed a second in the 54th minute when he latched on to a clever lob by Anelka.
This time, however, the Ivory Coast striker was denied at the second attempt by Australian goalkeeper Schwarzer.
Ancelotti's side were in total control and Florent Malouda should have done better when he shot wide on the hour - his angled drive flashing wide the far post.
Fulham boss Roy Hodgson replaced the ineffective Zoltan Gera with Diomansy Kamara in the 62nd minute to loud cheers of approval from the home fans.
The home side just could not keep possession and the frustration of the home fans was all too evident.
Chelsea's neat approach play had everything, guile, surprise, intelligent running off the ball and accurate passing.
The only real surprise of the afternoon was that the scoreline remained 1-0 to the Blues.
Fulham could not cope with Malouda's pace and trickery on the left flank and but for some last-gasp defending from the home side, Chelsea would have increased their advantage.
The Cottagers were dealt another blow in the 69th minute when captain Murphy went off injured to be replaced by Chris Baird.
Chelsea went two goals in front in the 76th minute when Drogba turned supplier for Anelka.
The France international rounded Schwarzer and coolly slotted the ball home to make sure of all three points for Chelsea and preserve their 100% start to the new season.

HAMMERS TOLD TO UP DIAMANTI BID
The 26-year-old is under contract with the Tuscan team until June 2013 and the Serie A outfit are not keen to sell a player who scored 16 goals last season, including a vitally important three strikes in the promotion play-offs.
Livorno president Aldo Spinelli claims the Hammers have made a bid for his star hitman but says no agreement has been reached.
He said: "For the time being, we have not received any satisfying offers. There is nothing more to add.
"But Diamanti must remain calm, he is under contract and he must only think of playing.
"The rest, we will consider in the next coming days."
A move to Upton Park would see Diamanti play under Italian coach Gianfranco Zola.

COVENTRY SEAL CORK LOAN MOVE
Chris Coleman's side are awaiting confirmation from the Football League before including Cork in their squad against Swansea on Saturday.
Two years ago, Cork scored twice against Coventry while on loan at Scunthorpe and his father Alan, was Coventry's reserve team manager when Micky Adams was in managerial hotseat.
Coleman told the club's official website: "This is another excellent addition to the squad and Jack is the second promising young Chelsea player to join our ranks this season.
"He is very highly-regarded at Stamford Bridge and he has already played close to 100 matches while on loan with other Football League clubs so has good experience for his age.
"We are delighted that they have let him come out on loan to us and this is a further sign of what we are trying to achieve at this club."

LEIJER MOVES BACK TO MELBOURNE
Defender Adrian Leijer has re-joined Melbourne Victory from Fulham for an undisclosed fee.
The 23-year-old has agreed a three-year-deal with the defending A-League champions after a two-year stint at Craven Cottage, during which time he failed to make a single first-team appearance.
Leijer also spent a brief spell on loan at Norwich earlier this year, but has opted to return home and add to his 41 appearances he made in two years with Melbourne.
The former A-League Young Player of the Year, who was part of Melbourne's championship-winning side in 2007, could feature in Saturday's meeting with North Queensland Fury with captain Kevin Muscat ruled out through injury and fellow defender Matthew Kemp doubtful with his wife set to give birth at the weekend.
Leijer made his international debut for Australia in a friendly against Singapore last year, while he also featured at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
"I've met him a couple of times on his return during his break. He certainly physically looks terrific," said Melbourne coach Ernie Merrick.
"He left as a 21-year old and now he's two years more mature, he's physically very strong. He tells me that some of the football he's been playing in the reserves has been very good.
"He's certainly matured as a person, and I think he's got excellent leadership capabilities."
Merrick has spoken to Leijer several times over the past few months and said that the fact the likes of current Socceroos Jason Culina, Mile Sterjovski, Jacob Burns and Chris Coyne have all returned to the A-League this season played a key factor in his decision.
"That seems to be the way that players, and the Socceroos especially are thinking. Look at the three Socceroos that have signed with Perth, Culina's gone back to Gold Coast," added Merrick.
"They know it is good quality football, they know of the Asian Champions League, which Adrian comes into now. They know that the national coach Pim Verbeek is based in Australia as opposed to Guus Hiddink, who was based in Europe. "There's tremendous opportunities in this A-League now. It's a full-time environment where the standard of competition seems to be increasing every year."

LAMPARD: UNITED WILL MISS RONALDO
Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has told Manchester United they lost a virtually irreplaceable talent when Cristiano Ronaldo left the club this summer.
Lampard believes the departure of the Portuguese winger to Real Madrid has helped bring the reigning champions back to the Premier League pack.
But although the England man believes Ronaldo's match-winning qualities are only matched by Barcelona's Argentina star Lionel Messi, he insists the player's exit could be used by Sir Alex Ferguson as the spur for an increased team ethic.
"It is very difficult to replace Ronaldo," Lampard said.
"I saw Alex Ferguson say that himself and I don't think he will look to replace him. He will look to make the team strong as a whole by not having him. That is the only thing they can do.
"The amount of times I flicked on the telly and saw Ronaldo had scored and they had won one or two-nil. Messi is probably the only player you could replace Ronaldo with.
"That is probably one of our big pluses this year - we didn't lose our big players."
Reflecting on the impact Ronaldo's transfer has had on the title race, Lampard added:
"The league is probably closer now, which has been a bit of a natural thing over the past few years," he said. "In United's case, you don't want to draw the promoted teams so early in the season. They come out of the blocks to try and get some points. It [the defeat to Burnley] wasn't completely unexpected. I thought it might be a difficult game for them.
"We have now got a little bit of a lead over them and Liverpool. It is nice to get your noses in front."

EDUARDO FIT TO FACE POMPEY
Arsenal forward Eduardo is fit to face Portsmouth on Saturday after an injury scare just before kick-off against Celtic earlier in the week.
The Croatia international was among the substitutes at Parkhead but was replaced on the bench by Jack Wilshere when he suffered a groin complaint.
"Eduardo had a tight groin in the warm-up and he felt he could not play," said Gunners boss Arsene Wenger on Arsenal TV Online. "He had no power and we had to change [the teamsheet] quickly."
Wenger is cautious over committing Theo Walcott to a return from injury against Manchester United next week.
Walcott has missed the victories over Everton and Celtic with a back injury and is sidelined for this weekend's Barclays Premier League match against Pompey, with Wenger's men then facing Tony Mowbray's side again before the United clash.
"There is a slight concern but we believe it is a question of days and not of weeks," Wenger said.
"We will see [if he is fit to face Manchester United next Saturday]. It is always difficult to set a date. I thought he would be available for Celtic, I thought he would be available for Everton, but he wasn't. That's why we will be cautious."
Wenger added: "I don't believe we have anyone injured from Tuesday night's game at Celtic.
"Eduardo I believe will be back in contention but Theo Walcott will not be back at all. Rosicky, Djourou, Nasri, Fabianski - they will all be out."

AGGER BLOW FOR REDS
Daniel Agger will have back surgery next week and is likely to be out for six weeks, missing Monday night's clash with Aston Villa at Anfield.
The Liverpool defender has missed the first two Premier League games of the season, having been troubled with the injury all summer.
He adds to boss Rafael Benitez's defensive injury problems.
Martin Skrtel is also a doubt for the visit of Martin O'Neill's side, which means that teenager Daniel Ayala stands by having made his full debut in the 4-0 win over Stoke on Wednesday.
New Greek defender Sotirios Kyrgiakos could also figure once his £2m move has been completed and international clearance acquired.
Teams:
Liverpool (from): Reina, Johnson, Ayala, Skrtel, Carragher, Insua, Dossena, Babel, Benayoun, Gerrard, Mascherano, Lucas, Kuyt, Torres, Voronin, Cavalieri, Kelly, Riera, Ngog, Spearing, Plessis.
Aston Villa (from): Will appear here......

RIO OUT FOR `THREE TO FOUR WEEKS`
Sir Alex Ferguson has ruled Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand out for another three to four weeks with a thigh injury.
Ferdinand suffered a slight tear in his thigh during training last week ahead of the Premier League opener against Birmingham.
Initially Ferguson felt that Ferdinand would only be sidelined for a couple of weeks. However, that estimate has now been revised.
"Rio is going to be out for three to four weeks," said Ferguson.
It means Ferdinand will miss Saturday's trip to Wigan, plus next Saturday's eagerly anticipated encounter with Arsenal.
In addition, Ferdinand now seems certain to miss the next two England games, starting with a friendly against Slovenia on September 5, then a World Cup qualifier against Croatia four days later, when victory would book the Three Lions' place in South Africa next summer.
It also raises concerns over Ferdinand's general fitness given the £29.1million defender suffered a back injury and a calf problem last season that kept him sidelined for extended periods.
There is some good news on the injury front for United though as Ferdinand's central defensive partner Nemanja Vidic is set to make his first start of the season at the DW stadium on Saturday as United look to bounce back from Wednesday's shock defeat at Burnley.
"Nemanja has trained with us for 10 days and he is ready for the game," said Ferguson.
"Hopefully he will be okay by tomorrow."

Stokes leaves for Scotland
Anthony Stokes has left Sunderland to join Scottish Premier League club Hibernian.
The 21-year-old moves for an undisclosed fee and has signed a three-year contract at Easter Road.
Manager Steve Bruce said: "We accepted an offer and we wish the boy the best of luck."
After starting his career with Arsenal, Stokes netted 14 league goals for Falkirk before joining the Black Cats in January 2007.
But the striker found it difficult to break into the first-team and made just 16 starts and 22 substitute appearances, scoring five goals.
Last season, the Irishman went out on loan to Championship club Sheffield United where he failed to score in 12 appearances. But he found the net on loan at Crystal Palace after playing 13 times for Neil Warnock's side.

I Do Not Know You Well, But What I Know
I do not know you well, but what I knowEnchants me, like a song sung far away.I cannot hear the words, but what they sayHangs softly on the hills where I must go.
I see you furtively and note your eyes,Hazel and dreamy, your spirit half elsewhere;I note the sheen of your dark, lustrous hairAnd wish I knew your thoughts and shared your cries.
This love brings me sweet pain, but I want more,Driven by a dream I can't control.I want the truth of you, untamed and whole; In frantic hope I haunt your open door.

Do Not Love Me Yet
Before I'm touched I need to growMore full in golden light;I need to smile upon my earthAnd rule some patch of night.
I need to know what roads and fieldsLie in my domainAnd dull my brand new ecstasiesWith sophomoric pain.
I need the love of some blank boyAs cold and dark as me,That we might grope in ignoranceAnd fear of what might be.
And then when I'm a silver bowlAnd know what I can hold,Then, then, perhaps, we could try loveIf you are not too old.
